Pyrex Pyrex Pyrex

As I get older I find myself gravitating towards vintage pyrex. I don't just want to use them, I also want to fill my kitchen shelves with Pyrex bowls and refrigerator containers. My favorites are the solid reds and retro greens, but lately I've been eyeing the flowered and atomic prints. I love the pink and white ones, even though they don't work with my tomato red and jadite green color scheme.

Here are some of my favorites from Etsy.

  1. I agree with you! I just think they are so beautiful and they certainly don't make them like this anymore! What a gorgeous way to brighten up your kitchen!

  3. Thanks for the BB article nom Dianne!

I use to have so much plastic. Now the only non glass I own is vintage Tupperware canisters from my Mom. Love mixing, baking and storing leftovers with my Pyrex. I feel so old school : )

  4. I'm also a Pyrex junkie! I collect the teal with roosters and the reds and yellows. I scored on that pink 4 piece you have pictured, $10. at a local thrift store. It didn't match my kitchen either so I sold the set for $45. Now I'm liking the look of Pink and Red displayed on a white shelf...wish I could get them back now. *sniff* *sniff*. I looooove you blog!

  5. Funny how a few years ago Pyrex wasn't even on my radar. Now I can't get enough of it. I hate the fact I love the pink, because I can't use it. That's great you got such a deal, then a big profit! I am hoping my dh gets those extra shelves up soon, so I can put more bowls on display.

Thanks! Hope you keep coming back to Kitschy Cottage. Going over to your site today : )

  9. You've given me an idea on how to decorate our new kitchen. We're currently renovating it. Something bright and colorful would be nice for the new kitchen. Thanks for sharing. This could be a permanent make up for our kitchen.
